Extension of Forest Hill Drive
This project forms part of the FIFA 2010 World Cup Projects and is funded by the National Department of Transport. The project was commissioned as part of the Traffic and Transportation Planning for the 2010 World Cup Football event in Port Elizabeth. It comprises a 215m long extension of Forest Hill Drive in Walmer, Port Elizabeth.

Rehabilitation of Concrete streets in Bethelsdorp
A business plan was commissioned by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to firstly identify and secondly categorise all the current concrete streets within the metropolitan area. Streets were judged base on their hierarchy and classification and also the condition of the pavements. Four streets were prioritised for urgent rehabilitation and Vela VKE appointed to provide consultancy services for the rehabilitation of the streets.

New Motherwell to Perserverance Bulk Water Pipeline
On-going RDP housing developments in Port Elizabeth have placed a great strain on the city’ existing bulk water supply infrastructure in the Motherwell – Chelsea distribution system. The New Motherwell to Perseverance Bulk Water Pipeline will provide additional capacity between the Motherwell and Azalia service reservoirs to meet the water demands for existing and new RDP low cost housing developments up to year 2020.
This project is part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s upgrading programme and is a key part of the Integrated Development Plan aimed at uplifting poor communities, providing free basic water and eradicating bucket sanitation.
